Traveling To Your Home, Hotel, Or Venue
For your wedding day, you want a Connecticut wedding makeup artist who understands that “natural” doesn’t mean invisible and “glam” doesn’t mean heavy.
Most brides who inquire with me aren’t looking for dramatic full glam. They say:
“I want to look and feel fabulous without feeling weighed down by heavy or cakey ‘for-photos-only’ makeup.”
And they want an artist who:
“Truly listens to your desires and gives you what you like — and doesn’t pressure you into what she wants you to like
They don’t want thick foundation.
They don’t want harsh contour.
They don’t want to feel overdone or uncomfortable in their own skin.
They want makeup that looks polished, refined, and elevated … without looking like it’s trying too hard.
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place because that’s exactly how I work.

What Makes My Wedding Makeup Different
Photo: Addie Eschelman PhotographyA Relaxed, Fun Getting-Ready Experience
I create a calm, organized atmosphere so you and your bridal party can fully enjoy the process instead of watching the clock.
What To Expect:
• A fun, warm, grounded presence that keeps the energy steady and light (yes, I’ll ask your favorite music to set the vibe!)
• Attention to detail from skin prep to final set
• Clear timing and coordination so everything runs smoothly
• Space to breathe, laugh, and actually enjoy getting ready
You won’t feel rushed.
You won’t feel like part of an assembly line.
And you won’t be wondering what’s happening next.
A seamless experience, so you can relax and soak in every moment
“I knew from the trial that I felt completely comfortable with Jen. She proved how reliable she was when the power went out at our getting-ready location — it was one less thing to stress about, knowing she would be there no matter what.
I hesitated at first because there was a price difference compared to booking makeup through my hair vendor, but I am so glad I chose her separately. It was absolutely worth it.
I don’t normally wear makeup, and everyone, including me, was shocked at how good I looked. She made my eyes pop without overdoing it.””
You’re not getting a rushed, assembly-line experience or a large contracted team.
You’re getting me. Someone who’s done this hundreds of times before.
With over 18 years of bridal experience in Connecticut, I know how to build a look that holds up in:
• Shoreline humidity
• Country club ballroom lighting
• Outdoor ceremonies
• 10+ hour timelines
• Professional photography and video
I custom-blend foundation to match your face, neck, and chest so nothing looks disconnected in photos.
I build your base in thin, strategic layers so it looks like skin up close.
I adjust tones, textures, and intensity based on:
• Your skin type
• Your venue lighting
• Your dress color
• Your comfort level
• Your personality
Because bridal makeup isn’t about trends.
It’s about you walking past the mirror and thinking, "damn, I look good! and “yay, I still look like me”

Airbrush Makeup
Lightweight, Long-Lasting, and Flawless
Both airbrush and traditional makeup create stunning, long-lasting results—but airbrush offers a next-level finish perfect for special occasions.
Used by film and TV artists for its flawless, even, and non-cakey appearance, airbrush makeup looks incredibly natural—even in HD cameras. It feels weightless, lasts longer than traditional makeup, and won’t settle into fine lines or transfer onto clothes.
For a wedding day or any event where flawless, all-day wear is a must, airbrush makeup is an excellent choice.

How It Works
STEP 1: INQUIRE ABOUT YOUR DATE
Reach out to see whether I’m available on your wedding day. If my calendar is open, I recommend booking a bridal makeup trial so we can work together to find the perfect products and approach for you. Please note that, due to popularity, dates for trials are limited, and we usually book out several months in advance. 98% of brides who have a trial book their wedding date.
STEP 2: SHARE YOUR VISION
Before and during your bridal makeup trial, we’ll start by going over your past makeup experiences, and you can tell me what you know you don’t want. If you have inspiration pictures, you can share them, but if not, don’t worry: we’ll work together to create a look that suits you, even if you don’t know how to describe it.
You’ll receive an email with a makeup and skincare questionnaire that includes what you can expect during your makeup trial.
STEP 3: THE WEDDING MAKEUP TRIAL
First, we’ll work on prepping your skin so that your makeup will last, and then we’ll discover your ideal look for the big day. Try out airbrush makeup, traditional makeup, neutral colors, or even smoky eyes during our 90-minute session. We’ll take lots of photos as your look develops, so you can see how it appears on camera. You’ll walk out of the room knowing exactly how you’ll look on your big day.
STEP 4: COUNTDOWN TIME
I’ll personally touch base with you to confirm day-of details, final headcount, and to remind you how it’s all going to work out beautifully (yep, those nerves will likely be high). You’ll receive a bridal beauty timeline that tells you exactly what time we’re starting and who’s going when. The goal: finish with plenty of time for you to take a deep breath and soak in the moment before pictures begin.
STEP 5: THE BIG DAY
I’ll personally text you in the morning to let you know I’m on the way and to find out your room number. I arrive on time (usually 15 minutes early) to set up my chair and get started with skin prep and your makeup application. Throughout the day, I’m in touch with your photographer and planner so that everything goes off on time.

Connecticut Bridal Makeup FAQ's
There are a lot of options when I look for a makeup artist near me. How do I decide?
Look for a makeup artist near you that whose before and after photos look like the style of makeup you’re after. Think of a makeup artist the same as you would as a painter…they all have different styles. Can they do different styles? Yes, of course. But they probably are most drawn to and talented with a particular style.
Look at their reviews on Google and other well-known review sites that are not altered to look positive.
Look at their about page. What do they do besides great makeup that makes them professional, reliable and isn’t cookie cutter. Do they create your day-of beauty timeline? Arrive early? Are they upfront with how long things really take? Pay attention to how quickly they respond and how well they communicate with you.
Talk to friends/family about recommendations.
Do you travel to wedding venues in Connecticut?
Yes. I travel to your venue, hotel, or home anywhere in Connecticut. I primarily serve Fairfield County and New Haven County, including Greenwich, Stamford, Westport, Fairfield, Milford, Branford, New Haven, Madison, and Old Saybrook. I also travel to select locations in Westchester County, NY and Newport, RI. Inquire for destination pricing.
Do you offer wedding makeup trials, and when should I book mine?
Yes, and I highly recommend it. Your trial is a dedicated 90-minute session at my Milford studio where we refine your look, test products, and photograph the results so you walk into your wedding day completely confident. Most brides book 3–6 months in advance, and 98% who do a trial go on to book their wedding date. Note: your trial does not hold your date — a signed agreement and retainer are required for that.
Do you offer wedding hair services?
I specialize exclusively in makeup. I believe doing one thing exceptionally is better than doing two things adequately. That said, I have a trusted network of Connecticut bridal hairstylists I'm happy to connect you with. I can also help coordinate timing between your hair and makeup to keep the morning running smoothly. Hair stylist referrals are provided after your makeup trial is booked.
Will you bring additional artists for a large wedding party?
Absolutely. For parties of five or more I'm happy to bring on additional trusted artists to keep the morning relaxed, on time, and fun. I just need adequate notice, and final headcount is due at least 3 months before your date.
How much does a wedding makeup artist in CT cost?
Bridal makeup is currently $325 and includes luxury skin prep, a full consultation, and a custom wedding-day timeline. Bridesmaids and attendants are $175 per person. Airbrush is a $35 upgrade. The bridal trial is $295. Travel is calculated at $2 per mile from Milford, CT. Inquire for additional CT makeup artist pricing details.
Do I need to sign the contract before our make-up trial?
Due to high demand, it is highly recommended to book your wedding date in advance. However, it is not a requirement. My policy is that in order to hold your date, there is a non-refundable retainer due. Please note that a makeup trial does not hold your date.
Some clients choose to sign the contract during the trial, which is a-ok with me! As of the time of writing this, I’ve never had someone not book during a trial, so it’s whatever makes you most comfortable that works for me.
Once you sign the contract and pay the booking fee, your date is reserved, and you’re booked.
How should I prepare for my bridal makeup trial?
Please arrive on time with a freshly washed, completely clean face (no moisturizer or anything on it). Your skin needs to be squeaky clean, and this is important to help the makeup adhere beautifully. Note: Certain products, like moisturizers and sunscreen, don’t play well with certain color cosmetic products and can cause them to break down, slip, or oxidize. During your trial, I’ll go over more of this with you to prepare you for your big event.
Please bring your favorite lipstick, gloss, or lip stain so I can see what you’re most comfortable in and get a good idea of the shades that make you happy! During your trial, we’ll select your perfect shade and tell you where to buy it so you can reapply during your event.
Wear a white button-down top or shirt and, if you’d like, your veil and/or hair pieces.
During your makeup trial (also known as a makeup preview), I’ll be taking several pictures and videos of you so you can see how gorgeous you look on camera, and we'll make any adjustments for the perfect look.
How long does a makeup trial last, and what happens during it?
Your trial will typically last about 90 minutes, so you get a full consultation, incorporating your unique coloring and desired look. We’ll also talk about skincare and how to best prep your skin leading up to the big day. Last, we’ll review and confirm details for the day of the event, including timing, location, and headcount. It’s ok if you’re not sure of all the details yet, as I checked in with you several times before the big day. Most importantly, you’ll sit back, relax, and enjoy being pampered.
Should I get false lashes?
This is a completely personal preference. Most of my brides and event clients love adding lashes for a little extra —glam and I love applying them. They look stunning in photos and really emphasize the eyes. I do not do lash extensions - falsies only because they are really beautiful and perfect the look. Whether we decide on individual lashes, partial lashes, or strip lashes, you’ll walk away having a hard time not looking at yourself in every mirror you walk by! Don’t worry, I’ll help you decide which lash style is best for your eye shape and ideal look.
I don’t normally wear makeup, and I’m kind of nervous about having my makeup professionally done.
The majority of my clients don’t normally wear much makeup, if any, on a daily basis, so I’m extremely comfortable helping to guide you through the process in a natural, subtle glam way. This is actually one of the things clients love most about my work. But don’t take my word for it; check out my CT bridal makeup reviews and testimonials and see what my past clients and brides have to say.
What’s the difference between airbrush makeup, and which should I choose?
Both create beautiful, long-lasting results. Airbrush is ultra-lightweight, used in film and TV for its flawless finish, and virtually undetectable in photos — it's an excellent choice for long wedding days and humid Connecticut summers. Traditional makeup offers more flexibility for certain skin types and looks. During your trial we'll test both and decide together what works best for your skin, venue, and comfort level.
Which brands of makeup do you use?
I purposely do my best to choose luxury, high-end, high-quality makeup brands that you might not normally get the opportunity to try or use on a daily basis. All are carefully tested on myself first and then used on clients over a long period of time, so that I’m confident in their wearability, breathability, and long-lasting, flawless wear.
Some of the consumer and professional makeup brands I use include:
Yves St Laurent
Giorgio Armani
Chanel
Dior
Shiseido
Temptu
Rare Beauty
Natasha Denona
RCMA
etc.
Do you have any makeup artist certifications or licenses?
Yes, I’m a CT licensed esthetician, Temptu Airbrush, and MAC Pro Certified.
Do you offer makeup lessons?
Sure do! I actually specialize in them for ALL ages and levels of understanding. It’s NOT just for makeup artists!
